25 April 2024, Bavaria, Bamberg: Presiding Judge Markus Reznik (M) opens the trial against 16 ATM blasters in Bamberg, with Judge Ramona Eichelsdörfer (l) and Judge Dr. Ralph Zenger (r) as assessors. The trial for ATM blasts throughout Germany begins in the John F. Kennedy Hall in Bamberg. The 16 defendants are alleged to have blown up ATMs throughout Germany in 30 cases between 2021 and 2023 in order to obtain cash. According to the indictment, their loot amounted to more than three million euros - the resulting damage was more than five and a half million euros.
