17 April 2024, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Burg Stargard: A small camera on a traffic light pole counts the vehicles on the B96 federal highway between Burg Stargard and the state border with Brandenburg. The traffic volume is to be counted at a total of 40 points over several days in order to plan the expansion of the federal highway. The old B96 is considered too narrow for the growing traffic loads due to its avenue character and is also considered dangerous because accidents occur time and again. Photo: Bernd Wüstneck/dpa
