CASA, an immigration and immigrant advocacy and support group, held the rally in support of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (or DACA) program. The rally was in response to a decision from the US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals on October 5th, which upheld a prior court's decision that the White House does not have the authority to grant vast protections to migrants, blocking any new migrants from being admitted to the DACA program and putting the future of DACA and it's recipients in limbo.
