28 March 2023, Lower Saxony, Westerstede: Pipes for a new natural gas pipeline lie on a construction site. Construction has begun on a pipeline to transport natural gas from the floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Wilhelmshaven. The pipeline, which will be around 70 kilometers long and run underground, is being built by Oldenburg-based energy provider EWE and will run from the Sande area (Friesland district) to natural gas storage facilities in the Leer district.
