22 March 2023, USA, New York: Jacob Garlick (l), the number 2 bidder, an employee of an investment fund, bids on the triangular Flatiron Building at the auction. After a bidding war lasting about an hour on the steps in front of a Manhattan courthouse, Garlick won the bid at a sum of 190 million U.S. dollars (about 175 million euros).
