30 November 2022, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Gadebusch: Numerous spectators watch the transfer of the sleeping car from the legendary Orient Express built in 1941 onto the museum track next to the historic station during the night. The 54-ton carriage, once used between Paris and Istanbul, is lifted by two truck-mounted cranes from the Deutsche Bahn operating track into the museum area. The 80-year-old sleeping car was last located in Gera, Thuringia, and is now to be restored for tourist use near the Baltic Sea coast.
