30 November 2022, Saxony-Anhalt, Wernigerode: Wernigerode's Lord Mayor Tobias Kascha, District Administrator Thomas Balcerowski, State Secretary Stefanie Pötzsch from the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Economics, and Museum Managing Director Christian Juranek (l-r), stand on the terrace at Wernigerode Castle. Construction companies have begun the first building measures at Wernigerode Castle. Until 2025, investments are to be made, among other things, in the tourist attractiveness of the "Wernigerode Museum Castle" and in access for visitor groups with limited mobility. The investment volume amounts to around 10.6 million euros. Photo: Matthias Bein/dpa
