06 October 2022, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Sassnitz: Clouds drift in the sky over the visitor platform on the 118-meter-high Königsstuhl in on the chalk coast of the island of Rügen, which was closed in September. The new so-called Königsweg is scheduled to open in spring 2023. The structure, suspended from a mast, is intended to hover above the rock, protecting it from erosion. According to the Königsstuhl National Park Center, around 300,000 people a year have visited the Königsstuhl to date. Photo: Stefan Sauer/dpa
