Thousands of people paraded through the streets of Lisbon city center to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution. April 25, 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of a revolution led by the military and supported by the Portuguese people to overthrow the dictatorial regime of the Estado Novo, which became known as the Carnation Revolution.
