Nepal: A craft shop next to the Bishokarma Temple (Bishwakarma / Vishwakarma Temple), in a lane in Patan traditionally occupied by metal workers and other craftsmen.

Patan is an abbreviation of Lalit-Patana (pur and patana both mean 'town'). The name Lalitpur was often later interpreted as 'Town of the Beautiful Arts', because the pursuit of arts and crafts is a long established tradition in the town. In old inscriptions, Patan is called by yet another name, Yupagrama Danga.
