Andaman Discoveries in Thailand imparts a homely feel to tourists and visitors as they get to experience the traditional local culture and dine in an array of local dishes. This place was set up in the aftermath of the 2004 Asian tsunami to continually provide assistance to tsunami-affected coastal communities of the North Andaman. The resort was one of the winners of Wild Asia's 2010 Responsible Tourism awards. To go with story 'And the award goes to...' by Melissa Cornejo, Deborah Chan and Jules Ong.
