Mounted on a model are hair ornaments, earrings and necklaces. Jewellery of this kind was worn by many of the women attendants of Queen Pu-Abi. Found in the royal burial pits excavated by Sir Leonard Woolley. Culture: Sumerian. Date/Period: c.2500 BC. Place of Origin: Ur, Sumeria, Ancient Iraq. Material Size: Gold, lapis lazuli, carnelian.
