How do I contact Newscom?

The best way to contact our team is by sending an email to support@newscom.com. We will respond to your emails within 24 hours of receipt.

How do I license content from Newscom?

In order to license Newscom content, you must sign up for an account. You can use our quick and easy form here. We will provide you with a username and password within 24 hours of receipt. This account will provide you with access to our free content. To access Newscom's full collection of over 25 million items from over 150 content partners you will need to update your registration status. To do so, email support@newscom.com to confirm your circulation, billing address, and the nature of your organization (magazine, book, newspaper, Website, or television outlet, for example). This will allow our system to assign pricing via our standard rate card. Newscom offers special pricing discounts that a member of our customer service team will be happy to discuss with you.

How do I sign up for a Newscom account?

Simply complete our fast and easy form found here and we will provide you with a username and password within 24 hours of receipt.

How do I create a lightbox?

After logging into your account, please click the "My Lightboxes" link on the upper left side of the page. Click on the "Create Lightbox" link found on the left side of your screen and in the pop-up box, enter a name for your lightbox and click and click "OK." You can now begin your search for content to place inside your new Lightbox.

How do I add content to a lightbox?

From standard search results, simply tick the checkboxes below the thumbnails you wish to add to the lightbox. Choose the appropriate lightbox from the drop-down menu just above the Search Results. Click on the "Add Selected to Lightbox" bar.

Please note that lightboxes have a limit of 50 items.

If you are adding images to a lightbox from multiple pages of search results, you must click on "Add Selected to Lightbox" prior to moving on to the next page of results. Otherwise, the checkboxes for your chosen images on the previous page will be cleared.


How do I share a lightbox?

You may share your lightbox with others via our "Email Lightbox" function.

To email a lightbox, please click on the "My Lightbox" link on the left navigation. Click on "Email Lightbox" link. A popup window will appear allowing you to type your name, email address, the email of the recipient and a short message. The recipient will receive your message along with a link to a view-only HTML version of that lightbox. You may email a lightbox to any recipient. They do not need a Newscom user name or password in order to view it.

If you are sending the lightbox to multiple recipients, you should separate each address with a comma.


How do I delete a lightbox that I no longer want in my account?

Please click on the "My Lightbox" link on the left navigation and then click on the "Delete Lightbox" link. A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm this is in fact the lightbox you wish to delete. Please click "OK." This will delete the entire lightbox, not just the contents.


How do I login to the Newscom site?

All users must login to Newscom in order to access the content on our site. A username and password is required.

If you do not have a username and password, simply fill out our quick and easy form here. We will provide you with an account straight away.

If you already have a Newscom account, please enter your username and password into the fields provided on the upper right corner of the Newscom home page.


Do I have to have a Newscom account in order to view content on the site?

Yes. Newscom requires its users to login to our site via an assigned username and password.


Does Newscom offer content for personal use (e.g. web sites, blogs, social networking pages, etc)?

How do I search on an image ID?

The Newscom site allows for simple ID number searches. Please enter the Newscom "Tag ID" number into the search box and click "FIND."
